Peter & Paul: Poster Design - Idea Generation

After an extensive visual research into the possibilities the design has, it was noticed that powerful typographic work might be the most appropriate way to solve this problem. The quote needs to be visible. It is what is important and taking a modernist approach is also a reflection of the graphic design practices.

There are three possible approaches that can be combined with the typographic work: enhance ink textures to relate it to print, half-tone and chromatic aberration for print and photographic hints or use a texture as a background.

It's important to remember that the target audience are not only students, but also people interested in arts and design.

Another idea was to play with the concept of "time", as smells can work as memory triggers, making a person to time-travel for a second. Typographic work can represent this by making a word start on the right end of the poster and end on the left end.

Most of the idea generation process took place during the research. This is due to the fact that research wasn't into the background of a company or something else with deeper considerations and it was mostly to figure out which option was the most approrpriate to display the quote.
